October is #domesticviolenceawarenessmonth. As someone who has experienced this type of trauma for years and is now in a healthy relationship. I can't stay silent about it. When I saw this reel I was reminded of those times I tried to seek help only to end up in jail while my abuser was told to "get some sleep." I tried so many times to leave but it's a toxic trap that is very hard to understand unless you have experienced it yourself. You'll often hear...

"Why don't you just leave?" "If I were you I would be outta here." "Stop letting him/ her do that to you!" 

What they don't understand is that IT'S NOT THAT EASY. I know it's hard and I pray for you daily without even knowing you. I pray for your peace, for your safety and for you to find a healthy path forward. AMEN 🤍
