On 17 August 2025, two orphaned Asiatic black bear cubs from the Centre for Wildlife Rehabilitation and Conservation (CWRC) were transferred to a reintegration unit in Dehing Patkai National Park, India. Following health screenings by Dr. Mehedi and Dr. Mohit confirming the cubs were free of disease symptoms, they were deemed fit for the move. The rehabilitation site was prepared with an acclimatisation enclosure and a rehabber’s camp to support their continued care. This move marks the next step in their long-term rehabilitation and eventual return to the wild. #ifaw #bearcubs #cwrc
