Recipe
• 2 Boneless skinless chicken breasts halved and
• pounded about 1/4 inch thick
• 2 Tbsp olive oil
• 4 Tbsp unsalted butter
• 8 Oz Bella mushrooms, sliced
• 1 Medium shallot finely chopped
• 5 Cloves garlic, minced
• 2/3 Cup chicken broth
• 2/3 Cup dry Marsala wine
• 2/3 Cup heavy cream
• 1/2 Tsp chopped fresh thyme
• Chopped fresh Italian parsley, for garnish

Chicken Seasoning
• 1/2 Cup all-purpose flour (plain flour)
• 1.5 Tsp kosher salt
• 1.5 Tsp garlic powder
• 1.5 Tsp onion powder
• 1/2 Tsp black cracked pepper

Rice
• 2 Cups basmati rice
• 2 Cups chicken stock
• 1 Bay leaf
• Salt to taste
• 2 tsp Olive oil

In a large ziplock bag add chicken and
seasoning and shake until every part of
chicken is fully coated. Heat olive oil in a
pan and add the butter. Place chicken in
the pan and let cook for about 4-5 minutes until it gets golden brown. Flip and cook the other side for an additional 4-5 minutes.

In a pot over medium heat add rice
ingredients and let the rice get to a gentle
boil. Keep stirring occasionally until most
of the water is absorbed by the rice. When
that happens quickly turn the heat down
to a low simmer and cover your rice. Let
cook for an additional 15-20 minutes.

While the rice is cooking in the same pan
that the chicken was in, add mushrooms
and sauté for 3-4 minutes. Add garlic and
shallots and cook for an additional 2-3
minutes stirring occasionally. Add in
Marsala wine, heavy cream, chicken stock,
and thyme and let simmer to reduce about
6-8 minutes. Add your chicken to the pan,
coat with the sauce and cover. Let simmer
for an additional 2-4 minutes. Sprinkle
parsley on the top. Lay the rice down on
the plate and then the chicken on top and
enjoy! #shorts #foodie #dinnerrecipe #chickenmarsala
