Our 2021 Ocean Awareness Contest: Water Rising asked students ages 11-18 from around the world to highlight our interconnections with water. 💧 Silver Award winner in Junior Art Iris Tsai (14, California) clearly understood the assignment 👏 (swipe for the full piece)

"Water is a vital bond that connects all living and nonliving things in this world," she wrote.

"From the ice that melts on mountains to the machinery and workers that purify, water eventually makes its way to reach our hands. Recognizing these connections and seeing the journey of water helped inspire this artwork."
