“Still Feel Comfortable?” by Oksana Muzychenko _koxanka_ (15, Ukraine), a 2018 Ocean Awareness Contest winner. Ah. The power of irony.

Pieces like these get us psyched for submissions to our 2022 Ocean Awareness Contest: THE FUNNY THING ABOUT CLIMATE CHANGE! 🙌 And we hope they’ll serve as inspo for all of y’all participating.

If you’re new to our Ocean Awareness Contest, here’s the lowdown:
👉 It’s free to enter
🌏 Students 11-18 years old worldwide are invited to participate
💰 We give 100s of awards of up to $1,500 each!
🎨 We accept all kinds of creative submissions through these categories: Art, Poetry & Spoken Word, Creative Writing, Film, Performing Arts, and Interactive & Multimedia
⏰ The deadline to submit is June 13, 2022

We’re looking for innovative pieces that challenge our expectations for what climate change messaging should look like. How can you talk about climate change in a fresh way? How can you grab people’s attention without sacrificing your message?
