Wish we could have been in Iceland with Bow Seat alumna elygerman to watch her paint her murals IRL, but this vid is a pretty good substitute (+ this way we also get to hear Bow Seat alum Kai Kubota-Enright rubbersprings’ beautiful music 😌🎶)

We’re proud to have supported Ely’s artist 🎨 residency a couple of months ago as she learned all about Icelandic culture—especially as it relates to nature and the ocean 🌊—and was inspired by the locals and their stories 📖 to create these two amazing murals in the small fishing town of Skagaströnd 🇮🇸

Her pieces merge DANDA, a character born out of her love for dandelions, with designs from 2020 Ocean Awareness Contest award-winning artwork by Chelsea Tang checisu and Rachel Oh racheloh242!

Discover the backstory behind her murals via the 🔗 in our bio.
