Strong poetry often comes right from the heart 💖 Check out this ☝️ book by We All Rise Prize Advisory Committee Member nakia_hill and you’ll see what we mean (🔗 in our bio).

Based off of poems from her 16 year old journal ✍🏾, it’s an ode to resilient women of color learning to set boundaries, practice self-care, and speak their truths in order to heal 🌱

Her inspo? Solange saintrecords’s A Seat at the Table 🎵👸🏾

Illustrations 🎨 by Nakia's cousin, Xavia Hill Prater!
