While y'all were creating your own vision boards, Ainsley Cunningham (16, New York) took the liberty to make one for the 🌎 😉 Jk, Ainsley is a Distinguished Honorable Mention Award winner in Senior Art from our 2020 Ocean Awareness Contest, but her piece "Vision of an Ocean Restored" is helping us envision the brighter future we'll be fighting for in 2021 and beyond 🔆

"We are currently facing a climate crisis which threatens the survival of millions of marine organisms," she wrote.
"My project imagines a benevolent deity offering humankind a vision of an alternate model of existence that ceases to destroy the environment and instead coexists with nature." 🌱
"One of the biggest obstacles to environmentalism is people stuck in their ways, but by focusing on this vision of the future, I believe that we can all make the necessary changes to make turn it into a reality." 🌊
