When the going gets tough, do you turn to nature for healing and inspiration? 🌿🌊

If so, you’re not alone. Called #biomimicry, artists, designers, and engineers alike often model their creations off patterns and strategies found in the natural world.

Featured student artist Ziteng C. (Age 12, Toronto, Canada) envisions a Photosynthesis Honeycomb Device (PHD) that would tackle 📈 CO2 levels.

“The PHD could simulate photosynthesis; it absorbs the carbon dioxide from the atmosphere and converts it into oxygen and water. Its strong central processor would balance the level of carbon dioxide in the atmosphere. That way, the melting of glaciers, increasing temperature and ocean acidification would all be stopped.

The PHD is an automatic modular machine that floats in the atmosphere. It could expand or shrink if needed. It is also a floating supplementary station, which provides oxygen, water and other new energy back to the Earth, enabling spacecrafts to reach further planets in the universe. I have a strong belief that PHD, as an environmental smart device, will soon float in the sky to save the ocean and climate!”

✨We’re looking forward to seeing a PHD in our skies!✨

In the meantime, take on TurningGreenOrg 's #ProjectGreenChallenge and capture biomimicry in action around your neighborhood, home or community for a chance to win a prize!
