Seung Won C. wonn_choii (Age 16, Korea) won a Distinguished Honorable Mention Award in the 2019 Ocean Awareness Contest for her painting, "Meters Deep" which brings attention to the issue of sea level rise. 🌊🌇🌊
.
On her inspiration, Seung writes, "My artwork illustrates the future vision of a city, which will sink deeper and deeper into the water as climate change progresses. Through the work I have created, I hope to raise awareness of rising sea levels. I, myself, will work hard to become a more eco-friendly person, avoiding anything that would harm the environment or cause climate change."
