bouse_house Instagram Takeover 🎨 Molly McGee and Ava Tung, two SAMOHI seniors, started a wonderful garden on campus this year: samohi_garden_ 🌿 They maintain a tree nursery for future campus plantings, utilize food waste, grow California native plants, and provide one of the most peaceful places on campus.

(From Bow Seat: Planting an ocean-friendly garden is a great way to take action on #climatechange in your community:
🌳Trees absorb and store CO2 from the atmosphere and improve air quality.
🍃Composting reduces your carbon footprint by diverting organic waste from landfills & using compost reduces the need for chemical fertilizers.
🌱Reducing hard surfaces in our communities helps limit runoff and pollution into our watersheds.
🐝Gardens provide habitat for wildlife & VIP (very important pollinators).
💙Gardening is a great way to reduce stress & connect with the natural world.)
