1980 - the first chronograph made of titanium.
When Prof. F. A. Porsche conceived the first chronograph made of titanium in 1980, his main aim was not simply to make a watch out of titanium, but to construct the best #timepiece with a #stopwatch function that was possible at that point in time. The choice of material is simply the #logical #consequence of his considerations about the most important #characteristic of the watch: its #function.
