— My favorite memory from YSC Academy was the connection I made with Carl Abramowitz. Carl was my English teacher and fueled my love for education. I accredit my current role and position to the countless conversations I had with Carl. We would discuss assignments, politics, books, life, poems, etc. The main themes of these conversations were always educational growth. Even as a college grad, I stayed close with Carl and went to him when I needed guidance. Post-undergrad, I had a sales job that I wasn't the most fond of. I remember "cold-calling" the school Carl currently works for and chatting with him for at least an hour or so about life, and where I was. After this conversation, I decided that I belong in education, specifically higher education.

Every connection I made at YSC Academy was memorable. Carl, though, has a front row reserved seat at my future wedding!
