Penn State football suffered another heartbreaking loss, falling 21–18 to Michigan after leading at halftime. But the biggest questions coming out of Ann Arbor go beyond the final score. On this episode of The Pocket, former Penn State standouts Christian Hackenberg and Grant Haley break down what went wrong, why the Nittany Lions continue to struggle to finish games, and what needs to change under head coach Matt Campbell.

Michigan made a bold quarterback decision, replacing Bryce Underwood with Tommy Carr and turning the game around in the second half. Meanwhile, Penn State quarterback Rocco Becht committed three costly turnovers that helped Michigan score 21 points. Should Penn State consider making its own quarterback change? Hackenberg and Haley discuss Becht's future, Campbell's loyalty to his quarterback, and the difficult decisions facing the program.

Beyond the quarterback controversy, the former Nittany Lions examine Penn State's offensive struggles, defensive breakdowns, the impact of Chase Sowell, and why this team has yet to put together four complete quarters. They also reflect on their own experiences playing at Penn State, the importance of rebuilding a winning culture, and what it takes to establish a foundation for long-term success.

With Penn State sitting at 3–4 overall and 0–4 in Big Ten play, the stakes are growing. Can the Nittany Lions regroup during their bye week and turn things around against Purdue? Plus, Hackenberg and Haley discuss the future of college football, NIL, transfer portal decisions, and the controversy surrounding Bryce Underwood.
