College basketball is almost back, and the early exhibition games are already delivering surprises! LSU is finding ways to win with a six-man rotation, Kentucky is working through its growing pains, and BYU is showing signs of becoming one of the most exciting teams in the country. On this episode of That's A W, host Vince Wolfram breaks down the biggest takeaways, standout performances, and emerging storylines ahead of the 2026–27 college basketball season.

Will Wade's unconventional approach at LSU is turning heads, while North Carolina's Jarin Stevenson and Florida State's Marcis Ponder are making strong early impressions. Vince also takes a closer look at Kentucky's loaded roster, the adjustments facing Mark Pope's Wildcats, and why Big Blue Nation should remain patient as the team's chemistry develops.

Elsewhere, BYU's exciting core of Jaxon Kohler, Bruce Branch III, Robert Wright III, and Collin Chandler is raising expectations in Provo. Kansas welcomes back valuable veteran experience, Arizona looks poised to contend in the Big 12, and Baylor's Kayden Mingo delivers a statement performance against Florida. From breakout stars to potential championship contenders, Vince explores what these early exhibition games reveal about the season ahead.
