USF alumna Sarah Ives is featured prominently in the new Netflix documentary series, Pandemic.

At the heart of the documentary series is a group of Bay Area scientists — including lead scientist Ives and fellow USF alumna Christina Pettus — who are working on a universal vaccination that could quell even the most fatal strains of the flu.

Ives, a researcher at Distributed Bio, will be leading a seminar on USF's campus on February 25 from 4:30 - 6 p.m. The topic will be the state of influenza research and her work to develop a novel universal flu vaccine. “I want to be involved in making a vaccine that will prevent the next pandemic,” said Ives. 🔬🧪 #ChangeTheWorldFromHere
