Opening Today! Beyond Van Gogh: The Immersive Experience At Samanea New York! Come on down to the @samaneany (formerly The Source Mall in Westbury) for a beautiful immersive Van Gogh experience with @vangoghlongisland Located upstairs in this redesigned mall - now filled with murals and trendy restaurants - this traveling exhibit is now on Long Island. I loved learning at @beyondvangogh that Vincent Van Gogh had a brother - Theo. Regarded as the better artist, Vincent lived most of his life in Theo’s shadow. Have you ever heard of Theo Van Gogh? Walking through the exhibit you read quotes from Van Gogh’s life leading up to the infamous “cutting off his ear” event. Next, you enter the immersion room featuring his most famous works projected onto the walls and floor. This room is a complete sensory experience skyrocketing his paintings into a three-dimensional world. My favorite part was watching the paintings come to life and then transitioning seamlessly to the next masterpiece. Finally, in the next room and using a VR headset, you can experience a year of what Van Gogh saw looking out his window. Want to experience this while finding your zen? Try a yoga class in the immersion room! @samudrayogagc hosts classes April 1 and 15 and @bnfyoga hosts April 22 and 29. As always, it was wonderful to see @straightfm @momtimeevents #allkidsfair and to meet my new friend @donnadraketv Beyond Van Gogh is beautifully crafted by creative director Mathieu St-Arnaud and his team at Montreal’s @normal.studio.mtl and produced by Winnipeg’s Paquin Entertainment Group. The exhibit runs March 17, 2023 – May 14, 2023. 📍For more cool stuff to do on Long Island, follow @themintchipmama 🖼️🎨🖌️ . . . . #BeyondVanGogh #VanGoghLongIsland #GoghBeyond #vangogh #exhibit #exhibition #immersive #immersiveexperience #immersivevangogh #immersiveexperiences #art #impressionism #longisland #longislandNY #westbury #LongIslandFamily #bucketlistli #gardencity #discoverlongisland #visitlongisland #travellongisland #longislandevents #longislandnewyork #longislandliving #longislandlife #longislandart #SamaneaNY #SamaneaMall #vangogh #momsoftiktok #tiktokmom #tiktokmoms #tiktokmomclub #tiktokmomover40 #momswhotok
