What’s The Best Valentine’s Day Gift? The one that helps someone else! 🐮Did you know 79% of Americans would rather have a charitable gift given in their name than receive something material? In 2006 I read about @heiferusa in @@instyle & decided to “give” my husband a goat for Valentine’s Day. More simply - I made a donation flagged for a specific animal which they provide along with tools & training to a family around the world. As a result, this animal produces food, companionship, & a source of income, thus completely transforming this family’s life. Goats are not only filled with love but provide gallons of easily digestible nutritious milk a day. This milk can be made into cheese - a high protein source to eat. Even better - they can sell the excess creating income for the family including for school tuition. Since a goat can live 12 years (yes I just googled that 😆) your gift will produce thousands of gallons of milk! But wait, there’s more! Goats require little land, make great pets, & encourage better crop yields by creating fertilizer & clearing the land. In my opinion that makes for a better gift than flowers or chocolate. I’ve been such a fan of this organization for 20 years. I love their mission.  I’ve donated animals for family, friends, as school projects, & even had my kids pick one as their holiday gift. They loved the idea that giving an animal to a stranger means a child can go to school. If you don’t think goats are the g.o.a.t @heiferinternational also has cows, sheep, chicks, alpacas, pigs & honeybees. Each provides a unique gift of food, hope, income, & potential.
