You ever have one of those days that you just have a feeling? The feeling that you should just sit somewhere? That's exactly what happened the morning I shot this buck. I walked out in the morning with the intention of sitting in a completely different stand. Half way into the field I changed my mind. Although the wind wasn't perfect for this stand I just couldn't get this idea out of my head. I walked to the base of the stand and thought I was making a mistake but daylight was approaching fast. I decided to just climb up and make the best of it. After 20 mins or so I notice a deer walking under my stand. As it got lighter I noticed it was a buck, not a shooter buck a decent sized buck. I watch it for about 15 mins and start to realize I'm completely covered up in deer, 15 to be exact. The longer I sat the cooler this hunt became. I heard a few bucks sparing behind me and watched a couple bucks walk out on a trail from where I heard the sparing. As the sparing stopped, a small 4 point and a big 6 point walk out. I thought to myself "Well I thought may be one of the shooters was back there." Then I saw him, he was making a rub 15 yards from me, but it was way too thick to shoot. Then I remembered all the other bucks had taken the same run from where he was to the field, I ranged the only hole I had at 25 yards and just waited. As he stepped out I released the shot and the rest was history. I watched him run 75 yards and he fell in the beans.
