Our living room is a great size but felt very bare so we decided to add panelling along the back wall. I’m still trying to find some art for the 3 middle panels too in black frames I think!

We also wanted to add a bit of a feature and make it cosier with a fireplace/tv wall and we love it! Strangely has made the the room feel bigger. I have posted a highlight for step by step how to!

We chose a dimplex_uk dimplex opti Myst fire which we purchased from bandq_uk You add water into a tank underneath and it creates the most real looking flames it’s brilliant! The pipe was purchased separately at amazonuk

The wooden beam was from a local joinery yard and the black tiles on the floor were a bargain from B&Q £12 for a pack of 7. The brick effect back wall was purchased from delledecor totalling just £36! They are look a like bricks that come in a polystyrene sheeting we used 2 sheets and cut round the fire and stuck on with evo stick, they are so realistic in person.

The back wall is panelled with dado rails and decorative moulding purchased from our local Gibbs and Dandy which you can buy from wicks and B&Q .

Hope your all having a great start to the week?
