(A long Ride Home)

“I remember waiting for you, That day you never came.
It was a cold day,
All was silent as Time stood still and I thought of you.
Shivering by the station,
I was warmed by the thought of seeing you again.
I just wanted to be a part of your life.

Now I’m empty.
Forgotten.
I’ll never see you again.
I miss you.

The brisk air cut through me as I walked to the counter.
I could feel the freezing wind while I bought two tickets to South Avenue.

It’s time to go home.”
