When Kermit, my Off Track Thoroughbred arrived I just wanted to feed him as much as he could possibly eat. But, it’s very important to review your feed’s guidelines so they are meeting the right range of nutritional requirements per their weight and workload. By simply reviewing the back of my bag of Buckeye Nutrition Cadence Ultra I realized I was feeding about a pound a day in excess than I needed to! It’s equally as important to avoid over feeding your horse to prevent digestive issues or worse colic.
