I was so thrilled to see my oldest friend cantering across the field last weekend while visiting my parents. Polo was a stockyard purchase turned cow horse; he was the safest horse for me to ride as a little, little girl when our family would work cows . He wasn’t a young horse then, so now he must be mid-30s. He’s one of those career starting horses, not in the show ring, but in those hours I spent riding as a kid with no saddle and subconsciously learning feel and stick ability and what you learn by galloping around by ones self as a kid. So, to him, he must be protected at all costs.
.
I have buckeyenutrition shipped to him each month from chewy along with his generic Equioxx. It’s given him a new life.
.
He gets the Buckeye Nutrition Senior Balancer which is your Gro N Win with additional joint and digestive support.
.
Then, he gets their Ultimate Finish 25 which has a stabilized rice bran. This gives him those extra calories while still being low starch and sugar.
