🏵 Rossette Art Project 🏵

A week later I finally finished my art project. I wanted to find a way to commemorate my ribbons. I have such an attachment to them all, I’ve carried them in boxes every move. 

Tools:
Frame 
Ribbons (for a 24x36, I used 24-30 ribbons)
Scissors 
Hot Glue Gun
Steamer

FRAME- I didn’t know how this project was going to go so bought the least expensive 24x36 frame from Michael’s. It’s not even real glass, but I think that made it easier to stuff the frame closed.

Application Process:
Line the edge with satin, I cut a single strip off my smaller ribbons. This is the areas hardest to cover so the lining hid the brown frame back.

If your ribbons are folded, take the time to steam them. They will lay easier and looks so much better in the frame. Also pull off the metal hanger in the back of your ribbon. You won’t be able to set in the frame with those still attached.

Start at the top, I liked to place the larger ribbons first, but I would start in sections and go down. Once you glue down ribbons below you may have to lift them back up to fit the smaller rosettes in the open spaces.

Hot glue was definitely the quickest. But make sure to glue the bottom portions of the ribbon to the board not just the rosettes. (ask how I know)

The hardest part was putting the frame 🖼 back on, but I just trusted that eventually I would get all the clasps back on. Despite one popping off  every two closed clasps.
