I’ve been big on perspective lately.
.
I’ve realized sometimes the story I tell, while accurate, through tone, can completely shift the narrative to a positive or negative experience.
.
Just realizing that it’s less the actual experience, but the lens we use to review which provides the satisfaction or disappointment, has encouraged me to approach each new obstacle in a better light.
.
This sounds like such a mundane and simple task. But, for so long the easiest route has always been to fall on a more critical lens. When, just by choosing a separate perspective, most issues become much less severe.
.
I really think, that when we experience a particular rough patch, rather than first go to drastic measures to change our environment, get bangs, or give up our goals.. First approach a simpler shift in perspective. This can allow you to sit through the uncomfortable event which normally passes in a few days or weeks, before you’re sitting there completely back to your natural brunette hair color after years of investing in your perfect icy platinum blonde …. (Just me? Did I do that 🤦🏻‍♀️)
