My brave, brave horse.

When I bought Swatch everyone told me it would take a full year to get to know him. It’s really been true. There were the first months that he settled in his new environment, figuring him out at shows we hauled into, shows with a big environment, what about a 4-day away show? When he starts to hit peak fitness versus when he’s just coming back into work. Then, there’s my own fluctuating confidence, strong days and weak days, and how those affect him.
.
I’d like to think I can hop on just about any horse and go in the way I’d like them to, but I really agree that it takes many months to really know the intricacies of their personality, preferences, strengths and weaknesses.
