Cuddle time 🦦

Sea otters sometimes hold hands while floating on their backs to prevent drifting away from each other and their food source while they sleep.

This goes a step further with mothers and pups, as sea otters can’t swim at birth. When a pup is small, the mother will hold it on her belly to keep it from floating away, until the pup can swim on their own.
