The Antarctic Volcano, Where Ice Meets Lava. ❄️

A snowy volcano just meters away from a 1000 degree Celsius lava lake? That’s exactly what Antarctica’s Mount Erebus is. Dr Philip Kyle knows this spectacular yet unusual mountain better than anyone; from being knocked unconscious by one of its lava bombs, to cooking his Christmas turkey in the volcano.

The episode was originally posted in July 2021.
