This greater one-horned rhinoceros calf (Rhinoceros unicornis) will mature to develop a single horn (20-61cm long), where it gets its name. Once at severe risk of extinction, it has made a significant comeback, rebounding from less than 100 individuals to over 3,500 today. A solitary creature, these rhinos can be found dwelling in floodplain grassland and adjacent woodlands in northern India and southern Nepal. ⁣⁣⁣⁣
