This week, Tommy is joined by Abigail Cowen on the “I’ve Never Said This Before,” podcast who is currently starring in Every Year After on Prime Video. In this conversation, Abbey reflects on the roles that have defined her career and the personal growth that has come with them (Redeeming Love, Fate: The Winx Saga, Chilling Adventures of Sabrina, and even her early appearance in Stranger Things). She discusses the responsibility that comes with leading beloved young adult stories and honoring passionate fanbases, exploring the complexities of playing Delilah and the emotional journey of portraying a character searching for redemption and self-acceptance. Abbey shares her favorite scenes from the series, the challenges of filming some of its most emotional moments, and how music helped shape the story’s nostalgic atmosphere. Plus, she discusses working with a cast of peers, the growing popularity of the YA genre, joining the YA world among shows like Heated Rivalry and Off Campus, and what she hopes to explore if the story continues. Subscribe, rate, and leave a written review for this episode if you enjoyed this conversation! @neversaidthisbefore is available to listen to for free on Spotify, Apple Podcasts, Heart & wherever you listen.
