## Caption

growing up a little gay boy, i turned to the world of pop stars to feel safe. it was a world i could escape to at any time and feel a sense of belonging. 20 years later at the age of 29, on the verge of turning 30, i’m seeing so many of these pop girlies i loved as a child live… and i had no idea how powerful and healing it would be. last night, i saw @hilaryduff live for the very first time, and tapped right into that 8 year old version of me. he was sitting beside me the entire show, looking up at hilary, looking up at me.. and recognizing how far we’ve come. 🥹🫂❤️‍🩹 #hilaryduff #childhoodnostalgia #disneykids #whatdreamsaremadeof #2000snostalgia
