## Caption

did you know the sleepy beach community of santa barbara has ties to two of the most notable true crime cases in american history? 👀 in 1943, elizabeth short was arrested here for underage drinking, creating the fingerprint and mugshot record that later helped identify her after her murder. and just a few minutes away is the santa barbara address listed on a driver’s license connected to charles manson, with reports suggesting he and a couple of his followers may have briefly lived there with in 1967. it’s a reminder that even the most beautiful places can hold dark history… did you know any of this? #truecrime #santabarbara #blackdahlia #charlesmanson #losthistory
