Whether an adolescent dancer is training to be a professional or is training for recreational purposes - their bodies MUST GROW. I fully understand that at the professional level, post adolescence, there are physique requirements. The discussion on that and how it is handled is separate from this. We are talking about GROWING HUMANS. To any ballet teacher/director/judge/choreographer and specifically Larissa, please show me your medical credentials. I want to see proof that you have any prerequisites to be suggesting weight loss to a minor. These are not professional dancers employed by companies, these are children. You are not a doctor, you are adults involved in youth ballet programs.
