Frosted gingerbread cookies🎄⛄️✨                                                                                                                       Recipe:                                                                    Ingredients  Gingerbread cookies  -2 1/2 cups all-purpose flour (300g) -1/2 tsp baking soda -1 1/2 tsp cinnamon -2 tsp ground ginger -1/8 tsp nutmeg -1/8 tsp cloves  -1/2 tsp salt -3/4 cup unsalted butter, room temperature (169g) -3/4 cup granulated sugar (150g) -1/4 cup light brown sugar, packed (54g) -1 egg, room temperature  -2 tsp vanilla -1/4 cup molasses (85g) -1/3 cup Christmas sprinkles (55g) -1/2 cup white chocolate chips (85g) Cream cheese frosting -6oz cream cheese, softened (170g) -5 Tbsp unsalted butter, softened (70g) -1 tsp vanilla -pinch of salt -2 cups powdered sugar (227g) Instructions  For the cookies: 1. Preheat oven to 350°F and line baking sheets with parchment paper. 2. In a small bowl, whisk together flour, baking soda, cinnamon, ginger, nutmeg, cloves, and salt. Set aside. 3. In a large bowl, beat the butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until light and fluffy. 4. Mix in the egg until combined. 5. Add the molasses and vanilla and mix until combined. 6. Add the dry ingredients and mix until almost combined, with a few streaks of flour remaining. 7. Gently fold in the sprinkles and white chocolate chips. 8. Scoop the dough using a 3-tablespoon scoop and place on the baking sheet 2 inches apart. Flatten the tops slightly.  9. Bake for 10-12 minutes. Let cool completely before frosting. For the cream cheese frosting: 1. In a bowl, beat the cream cheese, butter, vanilla, and salt until smooth. 2. Add the powdered sugar and mix until combined. 3. Transfer frosting to a piping bag and pipe a swirl on each cookie. Top with extra sprinkles. #christmas #gingerbread #christmasbaking #baking #recipe
