Who would have thought!! This is without a doubt the best tuna mornay recipe I’ve made to date and I created it using only pantry and fridge staples! If this isn’t a prime example of why experimenting in the kitchen is not only important but superrrr fun then idk what is!!! HELL YEAH MAN Tuna 2 ways, recipe dos, tuna mornay (obviously) 🐟 Ingredients to serve 5-6: 350g pasta of choice 1 brown onion, finely diced 3-4 garlic cloves Small handful fresh parsley, finely chopped Salt and pepper 2 tbsp AP flour 2 cups milk 1 cup Greek yogurt 1 tsp Dijon mustard 1 lemon, zest and juice 425 tuna in spring water, drained Optional: 1 cup frozen peas 1 cup frozen spinach Notes: - I only blitzed the onion up because I had a random mixture of red and white, you don’t have to do this - Only cook the pasta in boiling salted water for 2/3 of the recommended time, it will finish cooking in the oven - Add the peas and spinach (if using frozen) to the pasta in the last 2 minutes of its cooking time - Cover with foil until pasta is al dente then remove foil and cook until cheese is golden - Bake at 180 and fee free to crank it once you remove the foil (I did because I’m impatient lol) Soooo simple but soooo good wowowow #tunamornay #tunapasta #tunapastabake #pastabake #DinnerIdeas #cheapeats #cheapmeals #pastalovers #EasyRecipes #budgetmeals #pantrymeals
