Prepping with Pennies week 2 ep 3. Cheesy pulled beef tacos with pico de Gallo for only $3.97 a serving (2 tacos)!!!! Yes, these are technically Birria Tacos, yes I know the chilis I use in this vid aren’t readily available to everyone. SO, I’m going to give you three different options in terms of seasoning that are all budget friendly so you can recreate these in some way shape or form no matter where you live! All you need is: 500g chuck roast 30ml olive oil Salt Pepper 2 beef stock cubes 1 tbsp tomato paste 10 tortillas 2-3 tomatoes 1 red onion Coriander
Lime + any of the following options Option 1 (as seen in the video): 3 dried guajillo chilis 8 dried small arbol chilis 1 white onion 1 packet of taco seasoning Option 2: 2 tomatoes 1 white onion 1 packet of taco seasoning A few chills, dried or fresh doesn’t matter, whatever is available for you. Hopefully you know your heat threshold so you can manage this accordingly Option 3: 2 tomatoes 1 white onion 1 jar/can of chipotle peppers If you are following this option, blitz the tomatoes, onion and chipotle together until smooth before adding into the slow cooker. This is what I mean when I say, this is the beauty of cooking. Recipes are cool yeah, but treat them as a guide not a bible! Do what works for you! And again, HAVE FUN WITH IT!
