## Caption

"Director Jack Hill originally intended Foxy Brown to be a sequel to Coffy (1973), also starring Pam Grier. The working title was Burn, Coffy, Burn! and the story was written with that continuity in mind. But at the last minute, American-International Pictures decided they didn’t want to make a sequel, even though Coffy was a major hit. That’s why Foxy Brown’s job is never mentioned. In Coffy, she was a nurse. Once the sequel was scrapped, they couldn’t carry that over and didn’t have time to rewrite the script to give her a new one." #FoxyBrown #PamGrier #KathrynLoder #Movies #MovieClips
