I went to Capitol Hill nervous as HELL… and walked away with proof that using your voice can actually create change. 🇺🇸❤️ I had the incredible opportunity to advocate alongside Responsibility.Org, speaking with lawmakers about something that matters deeply to me as a mom: protecting our kids, preventing underage drinking, eliminating drunk driving and encouraging responsible decision-making. Was I nervous? ABSOLUTELY. 😂 But I reminded myself that courage isn’t about walking into the room without fear. Sometimes it’s walking in with shaky hands, saying what needs to be said anyway and hoping someone listens. And someone DID. 🙌🏼 After our conversations on Capitol Hill, Congressman Mike Levin agreed to record a PSA supporting the mission we were there fighting for. COME ON!!!! 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼 That moment reminded me why we cannot underestimate our own voices. You don’t need to be the loudest person in Washington. You just need to care enough to show up, speak from your heart and keep going. From City Girl Gone Mom to… City Girl Gone Lobbyist?! 😂🇺🇸 I’m incredibly proud of this one.
