## Caption

DeSoto Marketplace is one of the best examples showing how focusing on small businesses and the local economy can benefit both a city and its developers and investors. With a flexible and adaptive local government, a big-box store that would have become a dollar store was transformed into a thriving ecosystem of small and micro businesses. Seven years in, DeSoto Marketplace has proved itself a worthy investment for the developer and a vibrant hub for small businesses in the community. #neighborhoodevolution #incrementaldevelopment #realestate #SmallBusiness
