A little bit of Toronto in NYC⁣⁣ 🍁🗽⁣ ⁣⁣⁣ Plate By Plate is a tasting benefit that raises awareness & capitol for an array of different underrepresented social issues within the Asian American Community.⁣⁣⁣ ⁣⁣⁣ I got the opportunity to be part of @Project by Project NY 2023 (this is their 25th year) as a guest chef for the special VIP Tasting Series where I got to cook an intimate 3 Course Tasting Menu for several seatings of guests. I’ll share more about the dishes & their inspirations to come!⁣⁣⁣ ⁣⁣⁣ Along side just cooking, I was really honoured & happy to be part of this event because although I might not be American, as a CBC (Canadian Born Chinese) with so many Asian friends literally living in the US as our neighbours, a lot of the issues we face here in Canada, I saw they deal with as well, only difference was location. ⁣⁣⁣ ⁣⁣⁣ With that in mind, I really wanted to do something special for my tasting because I always treat cooking for someone as a way to show you care/love & it’s my way to communicate. ⁣⁣⁣ ⁣⁣⁣ I don’t cook for people in a restaurant setting much anymore so when I do get the chance, it’s got to be special & it’s got to be super fun! ⁣⁣⁣ ⁣⁣⁣ I’m happy & proud to say that I accomplished that goal & can’t wait to do it again. ⁣⁣⁣ ⁣⁣⁣ 📹 @El Films ⁣⁣⁣ 👨🏻‍🍳@Chef Daniel Le @Jona Won ⁣⁣⁣ #fitchef #tastingmenu #foodtok #tiktokfood #tiktokchef #chefsoftiktok #cheflife #menu #ab #abs #foodprep #foodporn #sixpack #sixpackabs #sixpackchef
