Somali football referee Omar Artan, who was denied entry to America during the World Cup, will officiate Uefa's Super Cup match between Paris Saint-Germain and Aston Villa. It is the first time a referee from outside Europe will take charge of the Super Cup. This will also be Artan's first time refereeing a European game. Donald Trump's administration denied Artan the chance to officiate at the World Cup citing immigration concerns, sparking an international backlash. Artan said he is "honoured" to be a referee in the match, and thanked both Uefa and the Confederation of African Football for their support. #Uefa #SuperCup #OmarArtan #Somalia #Channel4News
