## Caption

The Romanian Navy has carried out a series of controlled explosions to divert water from the Danube River towards the Cernavodă nuclear power plant to help with its cooling. Extreme heat and a drought means there has been record low river levels, leading to the shutdown of a nuclear reactor. Romania has declared a nationwide state of emergency throughout August, stemming from a decline in electricity production. #Romania #DanubeRiver #C4News
