Artist David Hockney has died aged 88. The Bradford-born artist “passed away peacefully at home" in London, his publicist said. Hockney made his name during the pop art movement in the 60s and was one of the most influential artists in the 20th and 21st century. He experimented with painting, digital iPad art and even designed a stained glass window at Westminster Abbey, London. He rebelled against convention and included queer content in his artwork, at a time when homosexuality was illegal. One of his most famous paintings, 'Portrait of an Artist (Pool with Two Figures)' sold for nearly £70 million at auction, the most expensive work by a ​living artist at the time. #DavidHockney #Art #Bradford #C4News
