Jess Phillips has resigned as safeguarding minister in Prime Minister Keir Starmer's cabinet. In a letter addressed to Starmer, Phillips said the prime minister is a "good man" but "that is not enough." She said progress in issues such as addressing violence against women and girls was "stalled and delayed" over Starmer's "desire not to have an argument". Phillips said she is "not seeing the change I think I, and the country expect." Phillips is the second cabinet minister to announce their resignation as Starmer is in the midst of a leadership crisis following disastrous local election results last week. More than 80 Labour MPs have called for him to step down, but the prime minister vows to continue on as leader. #JessPhillips #KeirStarmer #UKPolitics #Labour #Channel4News
