The government has pledged to halve the number of long-term rough sleepers and households who become homeless in the next five years. It will use £3.5bn of investment to ensure no one becomes homeless on leaving a public institution like prison or hospital and end the unlawful use of bed and breakfasts for families. Shelter says almost 400,000 people in England will spend this Christmas without a home. #Homelessness #Labour #RoughSleepers #C4News #Channel4News
