What I hate the most about my job is having to CONSTANTLY fight insurance companies for denying my patients’ claims for scans and chemotherapy. The amount of hurdles we have to go through just to get to the right people is insane. Imagine being a cancer patient and having to choose between waiting 1 month to start your chemo or paying $30k out of pocket just for ONE cycle of chemo bc your insurance is taking its time to approve your treatment.
