I’m going to be honest, I have a love/hate relationship with nursing. And I don’t feel ashamed for saying that because I know many of my fellow nurses feel the same way.  Nursing isn’t just physically taxing, it is emotionally draining too. But despite all of its challenges, I cannot make myself  just leave it completely. I love being able to make a difference in people’s lives and caring for those in their most vulnerable times.  I love knowing that at the end of the day, I’ve made, even the smallest impact, on someone’s life. However, I’m not going to deny that nursing is starting to take a toll on my body. I think about going back to day shift, but I love most of the people that I work with, and the night shift vibes just suit me better.
