Impeached South Korean President, Yoon Suk Yeol has evaded arrest. Investigators failed to detain him after a six-hour stand off with the president’s security and supporters. A Seoul court issued the arrest warrant after Yoon’s attempt to impose martial law in December, which is being investigated for amounting to insurrection and an abuse of power. Two heads of state in South Korea has been impeached in under a month, after the country has been paralysed by political turmoil. The Corruption Investigation Office said: “Execution of the arrest warrant was virtually impossible due to the continued standoff” #SouthKorea #YoonSukYeol #news
