## Caption

During a congressional hearing on hate crimes, Sen. John Neely Kennedy of Louisiana accused @arabamericaninstitute Executive Director Maya Berry of supporting Hamas and Hezbollah, which she repeatedly denied. She called the line of questioning “racist” and told the Senator, “Oddly enough, I’m going to say thank you for that question, because it demonstrates the purpose of our hearing today in a very effective way.” #arab #hatecrime #arabamericans #usa #aai #arabamericaninstitute
