Add this to the list of new male birth controls being developed: the gel.  A contraceptive gel that men can rub on their shoulders once a day is safe, effective and starts working more quickly than other methods, according to new research from the trial.  It uses hormones to lower sperm count, keeping levels at a point where they don’t affect sex drive or cause other side effects. The trial initially launched in 2018 and has shown promising results; but there is currently no money for stage three trials to get the drug authorised.
